Injury prevention is maximised when tackled from two directions;

  • Assessment & Education
  • Provision of Appropriate Equipment

Assessment & Education

Esperance Physiotherapy provides an onsite ergonomic assessment of workstations and can provide advice to project designers on workstation requirements in the planning phase of office setup.

For existing workplaces, a professional staff member is available to attend your workplace to observe, measure, and advise on optimal office setup, work station layout, and appropriate equipment.

In 2005 the Australian Bureau of Statistics found “43% of those injured had received no OH& S training”.

Esperance Physiotherapy provides a range of quality, onsite manual handling, and injury prevention workshops. These are often customized for specific workforce requirements.

The Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984, provides for the promotion, coordination, administration, and enforcement of occupational safety and health in Western Australia. The objective is to promote and secure the safety and health of persons in the workplace.

Contact us if you would like to discuss your company’s training requirements to minimize this occurring to your workers.

We at Esperance Physiotherapy are able to provide to the greater southern region, European quality ergonomic furniture for office and home use. Further information can be found on our partner’s (DAL + Equipment) websites. We provide equipment, delivered flatpack to Esperance, freight free at the same price as listed for metropolitan center delivery on the DAL + websites.

Sit Stand Tables

Sit-Stand Table

These fantastic tables enable you to vary your workstation from a sitting posture to a standing posture in a few seconds. Great if different people use the same workstation or if you spend more than a couple of hours sitting per day at the same workstation.

A key point for spinal posture injury prevention is creating variability of posture, so different muscles are working and relaxing throughout the day.

Chairs - SparkScreen Shot 2016 08 01 at 12.34.22 PM

The essence of a good chair is that you sit in balance and therefore can move just as easily forward and backward, and sit still when you wish. The chairs inspire you to change your position regularly - without even thinking about it. In this way, blood circulation is stimulated and you feel better, both mentally and physically.
