Forum Title: Doxycylline 100mg From Canada - Advice Needed?
Post #1 by HealthNinja (User)Hey everyone,
I've been prescribed doxycycline 100 mg for my chronic acne and I'm looking into getting it from a Canadian pharmacy because of the better price. Anyone have experience with this? Any advice or warnings?
Thanks in advance!
Post #2 by DrMedic (Doctor)Hello HealthNinja,
First off, it's great that you're exploring affordable options for managing your condition. However, there are some important points to consider regarding purchasing medication from abroad.
Feel free to ask more questions! How long have you been on this treatment, and how has it worked for you so far?
Post #3 by HealthNinja (User)Thanks DrMedic!
I've only just started the doxycycline and I haven't noticed any changes yet. It's been about a week now. The cost difference is significant though; the Canadian pharmacy is offering it at half the price of what my local pharmacy charges.
Do you think there’s a risk with buying from an unverified online source?

My advice would be to stick with a reputable Canadian pharmacy that has proper accreditation if you decide to go this route. You might also want to discuss your concerns about cost with your healthcare provider; they might have suggestions for more affordable treatment options or samples you could try.
How are you feeling overall? Any side effects so far?
Post #5 by HealthNinja (User)I'm doing okay, no major side effects yet. Just the usual sun sensitivity warnings I've been careful about.
I'll definitely look into a reputable Canadian pharmacy with VIPPS certification.
Thanks again for your help!
